I was at at a friend's house (let's call him Salazaar) playing pool with Curtis. Out of nowhere, Salazaar attacks me and I wrestle him into his great-great-great-great grandmother's 140-year-old rocking chair, breaking the cane seat. I explained it to his mother and now I feel terrible. How do I rectify this situation?
It is possible to purchase pre-weaved cane seating. It is just like the one you broke but comes in a sheet already weaved into different patterns. This is placed in the opening and the ends are poked down into the holes and attached with wedges to hold them in. This cane is available in woodworking stores and woodworking websites.
