Instructions on line for chair caning?

I have chair caning and have prepared the chair seats to begin. I feel it is supposed to be soaked in water along withthe reeds to fasten it, I am not familiar with stretching directions, etc.. I did it many moons ago but it is not in my mental library to withdraw . Thanks
